Lea County Fair and Rodeo
July 30 – August 7, 2010
The Lea County Fair and Rodeo is an annual event that takes place at the Fair Grounds in Lovington, NM. This is the 75th anniversary of the Fair and Rodeo and will be open from July 30 – August 7, 2010. Each year the Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame presents a booth with a raffle and information about the Hall of Fame. Don’t miss this year’s booth in the Chaparrelle Building where there will be information on the first eight 100 year ranches. Without these ranches Lea County would not be what it is today. For more information on the Fair and Rodeo check out their website: http://www.leacounty.net/Fairgrounds/Fair_Rodeo.html.
See you there!
The 2010 Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame booth was a great success thanks to all the volunteers who worked the booth and all the visitors who stopped by to say hi and purchase a ticket. Pictured here is the winner of the Curtis Fort Bronze, Ponchie Deen, and the winner of the rifle, Rodney Acosta. Make plans to stop by the booth next year and in the meantime come see us on the New Mexico Junior College Campus!
